SPORTISSIMO is a chain of retail outlets specialising in sporting goods and clothing. Each outlet offers a diverse range of products, including sporting equipment, footwear, sportswear, fitness gear, and classic and contemporary fashions from the leading brands.
The client's main requirement was to have the site's graphics and browsing experience overhauled in order to boost its online presence. An online sales facility had to be designed for the site, which also had to include corporate information and the product catalogue. The client wanted the site to serve not only as a new channel through which to promote the brands, products, initiatives and news of the SPORTISSIMO retail chain but also as a means to allow customers to purchase items at competitive rates at any time, day or night.

We developed a new e-commerce site with a large corporate section dedicated to the SPORTISSIMO brand, information on all of the stores in the chain, editorial features and the lowdown on customer services such as loyalty cards and bonus points.
The catalogue can be consulted in numerous different ways and features a powerful internal search engine that makes it easy to find the desired item instantly, along with other similar products and relevant information. Payments can be made by bank transfer or secure credit card transaction. Registered customers can take advantage of discounts and additional offers. Moreover, they will receive a regular newsletter and will have the opportunity to track their own orders.
The management of customers, orders and content (articles, price lists and editorial features) is dealt with by a back-office system (Magica BackSite CMS)
controlled directly by SPORTISSIMO personnel. The support platform automatically calculates the shipping charges for shipments within Italy and can also produce detailed reports on sales and daily takings, transport documents and tax documentation. The integration of the site with the warehouse management software used by the physical stores allows for real-time updating of prices and stock information.
