The Magic of Sardinia Association (Magie di Sardegna) brings together numerous small-scale providers of hospitality services,
including farm-holiday complexes, campsites, Bed & Breakfasts, holiday homes, rural guesthouses, multi-building hotels
and companies offering restaurant/catering, entertainment, sports and/or cultural services. Magie di Sardegna's services are delivered through 3 tourist offices (located in Sassari, Cagliari and Rome),
which offer not just tourist information but also advice on setting up new businesses in the tourist sector.
The client's wanted a site that would allow it to forward booking requests to the various accommodation establishments
and then to confirm the bookings following payment of the deposit.
Specifically, the client wanted it to be possible to make 'one-click' bookings for customised packages (including non-continuous stays)
during specific periods.
the solution
We designed a portal, with content in 4 languages, featuring a catalogue of tour operators that - thanks a powerful internal search engine -
can be consulted on the basis of a range of criteria (type, area, themed itinerary, services). Each accommodation establishment
has its own profile, with a detailed description, an image gallery and information on services, rates and location.
Along with information on the Association, the site also offers an array of tourist itineraries, news and information on upcoming events, as well as an in-depth section on Sardinia.
The catalogue and the other dynamic content on the site are managed by Magica BackSite CMS.
