the client
Hotel Calabona is a 4-star seaside hotel located just a short distance from the historical centre of the city of Alghero (Sardinia).
The hotel has 110 light-filled, stylishly decorated rooms that offer guests a winning combination of comfort, elegance and practicality. The restaurant is renowned for its quality of service and for its wonderful dishes, which include numerous local, regional, national and international specialities.
The client wanted us to carry out a restyling of the graphics and browsing experience following the redefinition
of its co-ordinated image and the implementation of new customer services such as real-time availability and online bookings.
the solution
We came up with a new, dynamic site with content in 5 languages.
The stylish, minimalist site features a photo gallery and information on special offers which are organised by the hotel managers using the Magica BackSite CMS system.
An integrated booking system provides the possibility to check availability and make reservation anytime.
The site displays images from the hotel's webcam, which is trained on the beach at Cala Bona 24/7.
Moreover, the inclusion of interactive Google Maps makes it easy to locate the hotel.
The photo gallery is Cooliris enabled.
Magica also dealt with the site's web marketing (keyword advertising) with a view to boosting the hotel's online
profile and acquiring targeted customers.
